Service overview

When you need this service

  • You need periodic or one-off measurement under Decree No. 415/2012 Coll. and the operating permit
  • The regional authority, ČIŽP or inspection body requires measurement
  • You are changing fuel, raw material, technology or source capacity
  • You need documentation for a dispersion study, EIA, expert assessment or operating documentation

What we provide

  • We measure NOx, CO, SO₂, O₂, TOC/VOC, particulates, HCl, metals and other components per operating permit and brief
  • We assess the measurement point, vent and consistency with the operating manual
  • We agree preparation and conduct of measurement with operations
  • We evaluate results against limits, the permit and any authority request

What you receive

  • emission measurement report with methodology and evaluation against limits
  • brief summary for authority consultation or documentation supplement
  • recommendations for next steps (repeat measurement, technology adjustment, follow-up studies)

How to get started

For an initial scope assessment, please send:

  • operating permit decision or extract from integrated permit / operating manual
  • technical source description, vent and filtration diagrams and current operating mode
  • measurement history or previous reports (if available)

Practical project examples

  • emission measurement at a paint shop after technology or filtration change
  • boiler emission measurement per operating permit
  • cogeneration unit measurement

Typical mistakes and risks

  • Measurement in non-representative operation (low load, atypical mode, maintenance state)
  • Unclear measurement point or inconsistency with drawings
  • Missing operating data on fuels, materials or actual mode
  • Overlooked notification deadlines or site conditions

FAQ for this service

When is one-off emission measurement required?

One-off emission measurement is required for regular verification of obligations, after commissioning a source, after a technology, fuel or raw material change, on authority instruction or as documentation for compliance with emission limits.

Who may carry out one-off emission measurement?

One-off emission measurement may only be carried out by an authorised person within the relevant scope. When selecting a supplier, verify not only the schedule but also the scope of authorisation and accredited methods.

Must emission measurement be notified in advance?

For one-off emission measurement, notification obligations must be observed. ISPOP states for form F_OVZ_TERM_JME that the measurement date must be notified at least 5 working days before measurement. The protocol is notified using form F_OVZ_JME.

How often is emission measurement carried out?

The interval depends on source type, classification, operating permit and implementing regulations. In general this may be, for example, once per calendar year or once every three calendar years for selected source groups.

What if we do not have a suitable measurement point?

We assess the measurement point before measurement. If the outlet or stack is not ideal, we propose a technically achievable solution, adjust access, add flanges or professionally describe limitations and measurement representativeness in the protocol.
