Periodic emission measurements from a gas boiler plant in a public building
The boiler plant operator was required to verify compliance with emission limits for natural-gas combustion sources. This was a routine operating source in a facility where it is important to document results for the operator and any potential inspection. Verify measurement points, boiler operation, source output, and the scope of measured substances according to the permit or legal requirements. We reviewed available documentation, arranged boiler operation in a representative regime, measured CO, NOx, and O2, and evaluated the results against combustion source requirements.

Emission measurements from a wood or biomass boiler
The source burned wood, wood chips, straw, or other biomass. Compared with a gas boiler plant, greater attention was required to dust levels, fuel quality, and combustion stability. Determine the appropriate measurement scope, verify boiler operating regime, fuel type, source output, and operating permit requirements. Before measurement we verified source and fuel technical data, monitored the operating regime during measurement, and measured relevant pollutants, especially particulate matter, CO, NOx, O2, and SO2 where applicable.

Initial emission measurements after boiler technology replacement
The operator replaced the boiler, burner, or part of the technology. Existing documentation might no longer have matched the actual operating state. Verify whether the new source matches the permit, which substances need to be measured, and whether an update of operating documentation is required. We compared the new technical state with older documentation, verified source parameters, and performed measurements under normal operation. We also flagged any need to update the operating manual or operating permit.

Emission measurements from gas burners in production technology
The combustion burners were not a standalone boiler plant but part of production technology. It was necessary to correctly identify the measurement point and operating regime. Assess whether measurement can be performed at the technology exhaust, determine the measurement scope, and whether flue gases are measured separately or mixed with process air. We checked the exhaust technical design, measurement point, technology regime, and measured CO, NOx, O2, and other relevant substances where applicable.

Emission measurements from a paint shop with multiple exhausts
The paint shop operator was addressing regular measurements or an authority requirement. The technology included spray booths, drying, extraction, and use of coating materials. Determine which exhausts to measure, what constitutes representative operation, which products are used, and whether VOC consumption must be considered. We reviewed the operating permit, technical data sheets of coating materials used, operating regime, and measurement points. We then measured TOC/VOC and particulate matter according to the technology characteristics.

VOC/TOC measurements from printing, coating, or adhesive technologies
The operation included printing, coating, bonding, lamination, or similar activities with potential VOC emissions. Verify exhausts, operating regime, products used, and any filtration or adsorption function. We checked safety and technical data sheets, determined the measurement scope, and measured TOC/VOC at relevant exhausts. Where the technology was equipped with a filter, we also assessed its efficiency.

Pre- and post-filter measurements with activated carbon
The technology had waste air treatment installed, but it was necessary to demonstrate whether the filter actually reduced organic substance concentrations. Design pre- and post-filter measurements, check measurement points, operating temperature, humidity, and air composition. We performed measurements at the filter inlet and outlet, evaluated the concentration difference, and described operating conditions during measurement.

Emission measurements from sandblasting, shot blasting, or abrasive blasting
The technology generated dust from mechanical surface treatment. It was necessary to verify particulate matter emissions, metals where applicable, and the link to filtration equipment. Check the exhaust, filtration, measurement point, and measurement scope according to technology and operating permit. We measured particulate matter and, where needed, sampled selected metals, and described equipment operation under representative load.

Emission measurements from an electroplating plant
The operation included chemical baths, extraction, and exhausts with possible acidic or other inorganic components. Determine relevant substances according to baths and operating permit, for example HCl, strong inorganic acids, NOx, particulate matter, or metals. We checked the technology description, operating regime, baths used, and measurement points. Measurements were performed on exhausts corresponding to normal operation.

Emission measurements from a crematorium or incineration furnace
The combustion technology required measurement under representative operation and correct evaluation of combustion parameters. Perform measurement of CO, NOx, TOC, particulate matter, O2, and other substances according to permit or authority requirement. We arranged measurement in an appropriate operating regime, checked the measurement point, and performed authorised emission measurement.

Emission measurements from a laundry, dry cleaner, or similar service operation
The operation had boilers, burners, or technology equipment with exhausts. The requirement could concern regular or inspection measurement. Determine measured sources, substance scope, and appropriate measurement timing according to operation. We checked source type, output, permit, or previous reports. We performed emission measurements and evaluated results.
